Whether you’ve just stepped off a train at Temple Meads or you’re meeting a friend by the water, a good coffee stop makes all the difference. These are the places we collected in our original Temple Quay guide.
A fresh edit of our original food diary. Photos and visits are from our archive; current menus, offers and opening hours may differ.
A bakery stop at Mokoko
The photograph says quite a lot about why a bakery makes a good coffee destination. Our original visit to Mokoko paired coffee with the kind of pastry that deserves its own moment.
We wrote about the indoor seating and the smell of fresh baking. It’s a reminder to build a little extra time into a coffee break when you can.
Small Goods, big temptation
Our original guide featured Small Goods for coffee, doughnuts and savoury options. A spiced feta pastry also found its way into our camera roll. There’s a theme here: coffee usually comes with something to eat.
Keep a few options in your pocket
The Dings Deli, Double Puc Cafe and Hart’s Bakery also appeared in our original neighbourhood list. We liked having a mix of places for a takeaway, a catch-up, or a bite near the station.
This is an archive edit rather than a live directory. Check a venue’s own opening hours and location before you set off, then give yourself permission to linger.
